SIMPLE CHURCH EVENINGS
Saturday Nights 6.00 – 9.30pm (Evening Meal Included)
Together with the church in Market Harborough, we are organising seven Saturday evenings through till next June when we will be exploring together the basis for planting and growing simple church in our communities.
WHO ARE THEY FOR?
These evenings are all open to anyone who would like to come and be encouraged and inspired about the vision and application of simple church.
WHEN & WHERE?
These will take place in the new building at Nettle Hill on the following Saturdays evenings from 6.00pm – 9.30 pm: 6th December, 24th January, 21st February, 28th March, 25th April, 30th May, date in June to be confirmed.
WHAT SUBJECTS WILL BE COVERED?
Going through the dates, here are the following subjects:

Developing a Discipling Culture, considering our own strength and weaknesses and how we can reproduce ourselves. |

Practical Issues in Simple Church Life: hospitality, handling small groups, including children in groups, maintaining a devotionally anchored life. |
28th March |
Incarnational Living. Being like Christ in our communities, giving ourselves to the needs of the poor and the oppressed. Being a home for a lonely and fatherless society. |
25th April |
Spirit Filled Living: Learning to be led by the Holy Spirit in the everyday things of life. In the home, school, college, market place… |
30th May |
Leading together. An examination of biblical servant leadership that includes us all. Learning to act as a team and make decisions together. |

Pioneer Lifestyle. Simple church demands a radical approach to living and requires us to examine the integrity and character of our own lives. |
WHAT’S THE FORMAT OF THE EVENING?
Although we will stay flexible the evenings will tend to follow the same general format:
You will be expected to arrive for 6.00pm to start immediately with a meal together. We will have our first introductory session over the meal itself. After the coffee break we will then have an interactive/discussion activity in groups through to about 8.00pm. This will lead into the main teaching session for the evening with opportunity for response, prayer and impartation before we close at about 9.30pm.
WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE EVERY DATE?
We wanted to give you as many of the dates in advance so that you can organise to be there and arrange childcare where necessary. We would strongly encourage you to make all the dates if you can for continuity of learning together.
We would also encourage you to come to those dates that are free for you so that as many of us are involved in the times as possible.
WHAT’S THE COST?
There is no cost. The only real cost of these evenings is the meals themselves. These will be covered between the two churches in Coventry and Market Harborough. At the same time we want to treat these evenings as valuable and as a real investment for us all.
